video loop

In Kiddie Rides, we can see two looped videos that are presented together on two flat screen monitors. One monitor shows a diversity of kiddie rides that were found in the city of Figueres. A chronometer appears in the video and measures the duration equivalent to a euro’s use on each of these machines.
The other screen shows the inside of a factory. The factory in question belongs to the Falgas company, and within it we see a worker switching on every kiddie ride in the building at the same time.
Both installations talk about time, and allow us to relive past moments through our thoughts, making us aware that the present ceases to be at every instant that passes by.
Sound and space maintain a relationship of reciprocal intimacy and are crucial for the understanding of phenomena such as simultaneity, sequences, intervals, and duration, all of which synchronise human activity.
