Razor wire was first manufactured by Germany during 1st World War. Differently to barbed wire it’s purpose is to prevent passage by humans, it’s target is directly human body. Since its invention, it has been used for prisons, mental hospitals, military purposes and high security facilities. Nowadays, it is started to be used more and more by residential security applications…

Titles of the three pieces; BTO-22, BTO-28 and CBT-65 are the model names of different types of razor wires that are used in the work. Each piece comprises of a type of a razor wire, a music piece and the notes that belong to the shape of each wire.

While creating the music pieces, firstly we recorded our own sound: “Ouch”. Then, the sound clip of this record is used to make a drawing of the shape of the module of each razor wire in a sound program. Afterwards, these drawings are translated to strings to create suspenseful music pieces.
