June 2012, a 3-day conference at IVI, Frankfurt a. M.
A three-day-symposium around the topic of art and emancipation took place at the so called "Institut für vergleichende Irrelevanz" (i. e. Institut for Comparative Irrelevancies). Over the course of these days critical art theory and artistic practice were sought to attain a productive dialogue. The attempt was to fathom the possibilities of emancipatory art today. The online-archive with video, photography and text material of the symposium can be found under www.kunst-erkenntnis-problem.de, respectively here. (due to the circumstances in german only.)
A publication regarding the symposium was published August 15th, 2013. It can be requested via firstname.lastname@example.org.
